Camera Link frame grabbers

Camera Link frame grabbers offer an interface between cameras and PCs utilizing the Camera Link vision standard. The standard is hosted by the Automated Imaging Association (AIA) and was released in 2000. See our Camera Link resource page for full details on the standard.

Camera Link is one of the most widely used and well-established standards within machine vision due to its simplicity and proven interoperability.

As well as PC form-factor frame grabbers, we offer embedded formats such as 3U cPCI, PMC, PCI/104-Express and PC/104-Plus.

FireBird Camera Link frame grabbers offer full GenICam support; while this is not an industry requirement, we have chosen to include this feature as standard, along with our comprehensive examples and optimised libraries.

All our Camera Link frame grabbers are compatible with NVIDIA’s GPUDirect for Video and AMD’s DirectGMA, offering processing via GPUs without adding additional latency.
