What can you see at VISION 2018?
October 31, 2018This bi-annual event returns to Stuttgart on 6-8 November and, as usual, is attracting all the major players in the vision industry, including Active Silicon.
Live demos
We will have an assortment of our products on display at our exhibition booth including a selection of live demos. These will include:
– Our Vision Processing Unit, an embedded computer designed for use in industrial or medical OEM applications, demonstrating live acquisition from four USB3 Vision cameras.
– The latest Camera Link and CoaXPress frame grabbers including our new 4-link CXP-12 CoaXPress frame grabber and the cost-optimized single-link CoaXPress board.
– Watch our frame grabbers in combination with a GPU in a live demo, processing data in real-time.
– Our exciting new Harrier series will be on display – a 3G-SDI camera interface board family which fits neatly onto Tamron, Sony and other autofocus zoom cameras to enable real-time, high-definition digital video transmission over long cable lengths of up to 700m.

Understanding processing with GPUs
Frans Vermeulen, our Head of Sales and Marketing, will be delivering a presentation entitled High-speed image acquisition with real-time GPU processing. This is aimed at explaining the pros and cons of processing on a GPU to help you make informed decisions about developing your systems. The presentation will be on Wednesday afternoon in Gallery Hall 1 and we hope to see you there.
