HENSOLDT Acquires Nedinsco
Defense manufacturer HENSOLDT has signed an agreement to acquire optronics specialist Nedinsco, strengthening its presence in Europe.
HENSOLDT, headquartered near Munich, Germany, develops sensor solutions for defence and security applications. This acquisition is planned to enhance the joint product portfolio, accelerate innovation and enhance customer value. Oliver Dörre, CEO of HENSOLDT, confirmed that “It is a targeted strategic step towards further strengthening our position as a leading European provider of sensor solutions.”
NEDINSCO, operating from locations in Venlo and Eindhoven, Netherlands, develops and manufactures electro-optical sensor systems, including periscopes, driver vision systems and subsystems for optronic sensor units. “This transaction secures our continued growth and represents a powerful step forward for both our company and our customers”, commented Nedinsco’s CEO, Arno Bouwmeester.
The transaction will be financed from existing funds and is expected to be completed in mid-2026, after which Nedinsco will become part of HENSOLDT’S Optronics segment.
