Software/Hardware Engineers (all levels)

Active Silicon is always on the lookout for talented software and hardware engineers. We can offer exciting career prospects working on digital imaging solutions using industry standard operating systems and platforms. Typical applicants would have a 2-1 or first class honours degree in software/electrical/electronic engineering, computer science or a related subject, with experience varying from graduate level to several years or more of relevant experience. Location: UK office.

Business Development

Active Silicon is a market leader in the design and manufacture of computer imaging systems and we are currently recruiting for the following Business Development role. The right candidate will have a background in engineering and a desire to share our expertise and market-leading products with customers all over the world. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual who can identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain an extensive knowledge of the market. Location: UK office with extensive travel within the Asia Pacific region.

Accounting and Internal Systems Management

We are currently looking to recruit a qualified accountant with a strong interest and ability in IT back office systems. The role includes three main areas – firstly, overseeing the general day to day accounting in the Accounts Department; secondly, managing the annual audit in the UK and liaising with our US subsidiary plus US accountants for the federal and state tax filings; and thirdly, helping and implementing improved integration between internal systems such as the CRM (Customer Resource Management), MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) and the accounting system. Location: UK office.

Technical Support

We are currently recruiting for a technical support role in our US office based in Severna Park, Maryland. This role will typically consist of liaising with customers by phone and email (and site visits as necessary), to help setup and integrate our products into their systems. Previous similar experience will certainly be helpful, as will a degree in electrical engineering (although these are not necessarily pre-requisites). The key skill we are looking for is the ability to take ownership of a support case and see it through to successful closure, while maintaining via regular contact, an excellent customer relationship.
