Advanced functionality with new 8xCXP frame grabber
Our FireBird family has grown again! The FireBird 8xCXP12-3PE8-IO supports eight CXP-12 channels in one PCIe x8 slot.
A small end-bracket I/O connector enables various breakout I/Os from the 50-way connector. This allows external triggering and lighting control using only one PCIe Express slot, perfect for applications utilising all the PCIe slots in a computer.

The frame grabber carries all the benefits of our trusted FireBird 8xCXP12-3PE8 board, including support for up to 50 Gbps input, ActiveDMA engine to ensure zero CPU usage, and Power over CoaXPress (PoCXP). It is fully GenICam compliant and supported by our proven software development kit, ActiveSDK.
The board is designed to enhance machine vision applications such as semiconductor and PCB assembly inspection, medical imaging, and high-speed automation where synchronized multi-camera capture, real-time processing, and deterministic triggering are critical for accuracy and throughput.
