Active Silicon expands in the UK

Staff, interior and exterior views of Active Silicon’s new operations and production facility in Langley, UK

We’ve opened our new production and operations facility in Langley, UK, following weeks of fit-out and preparation.

Situated a stone’s throw from the M4, close to the M25 and within sight of the mainline train to London, the location of our new premises couldn’t be better. Staff have been enjoying moving into the state-of-the-art facility as we’ve re-located our assembly, testing, inspection and supply chain functions to the new site. All R&D, design, support and Head Office responsibilities will remain at our flagship office in Iver, just a couple of miles up the road.

The move gives us plenty more space to increase production and staff. We’ve made several new appointments over the past couple of months, including a Stores Controller, Test Technician, FPGA Engineer and HR Manager. Additionally, we’re currently recruiting for several roles within the company which you can view on our careers page, including Software and Hardware Engineers and a Business Development Manager. Demand for our frame grabbers, camera interface boards and embedded systems has grown year-on-year – by 20%  this year alone; the additional capacity of this extra facility will allow us to meet this increased demand more efficiently.

Contact details remain the same so get in touch to see how our products could enhance your vision system, and view all our hardware and software on our newly-launched website, www.activesilicon.com.
