Teledyne Technologies Inc. has announced it is entering into an agreement to acquire Adimec Holding BV.

Teledyne, the US-based provider of digital imaging products, software and engineered systems, operates globally across multiple sectors including aerospace, defense, factory automation and medical imaging. Edwin Roks, Chief Executive Officer of Teledyne, explained that “Adimec possesses uniquely complementary technology, products and customers in the shared strategic focus areas of healthcare, global defense, and semiconductor and electronics inspection.” The acquisition will give Teledyne access to Adimec’s engineering expertise in extremely high-quality imaging.

Adimec, headquartered in the Netherlands, develops and produces industrial and scientific cameras and lens assemblies for very precise imaging in machine vision, healthcare and security applications. Co-Chief Executive Officer, Alex de Boer, commented “Teledyne is the perfect company to build further on the strong foundation the founders and management have established over the past three decades.”

The financial terms of the deal haven’t been disclosed but with yet another acquisition in the machine vision sector, we can expect to see increased confidence and consolidation continuing into 2024.
