Vision and innovation for oceanographic applications

The increasing adoption of computer vision isn’t confined solely to land-based and aerial domains; its influence is also expanding rapidly in subsea applications.

In various projects, ranging from structural inspections in marine environments to the exploration of underwater mineral deposits and aquatic species, the integration of cameras and sophisticated software solutions is playing a pivotal role, pushing the boundaries of what’s achievable.

Next week, Oceanology International in London will serve as a gathering for engineers, researchers, and government agencies dedicated to advancing oceanographic tools and technologies. At this event, we will showcase our cutting-edge Harrier autofocus-zoom cameras alongside the custom battery packs designed by our sister company, Steatite, engineered specifically for demanding subsea environments.

The Harrier AF-Zoom camera range includes models with 10x up to 55x zoom, global shutters for optimum imaging in dynamic environments, and features to adapt to low light settings. These compact and lightweight cameras are easy to control remotely using VISCA commands, and our interface boards increase their versatility, offering outputs including Ethernet IP, HDMI, USB 3 and 3G-SDI.

If you’re seeking to enhance your underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) or autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) with high-speed, high-resolution imaging capabilities and pressure-tolerant power solutions, we invite you to visit our booth S530 and explore the possibilities we can offer.

Not going to be at the show? See what we do for this sector or view the full range of Harrier AF-Zoom cameras.
