Phase 1 Technology Corp., a machine vision distributor headquartered in New York and operating across the US, is set to be acquired by STEMMER IMAGING, the German systems house for machine vision technology.

STEMMER IMAGING already operates widely in Europe as well as in Mexico and Latin America but this new addition to the portfolio signifies its first move into the North American market. STEMMER IMAGING supplies vision products and expertise to diverse markets including agriculture, transport, sports broadcasting and industrial automation.

Phase 1 Technology’s product range includes cameras, frame grabbers, interface boards, sensors, lenses and industrial lighting.

Rusty Ponce de Leon, Founder and President of Phase 1 Technology confirmed that “We are convinced of STEMMER IMAGING’s systems house concept as an innovative value-added offering and see it as an excellent basis for our customers and suppliers to achieve joint success.”

Arne Dehn, CEO of STEMMER IMAGING, commented that “We see our current entry into the North American market at exactly the right time, as the increasing regional fragmentation of the global economy is creating enormous openings.”

The deal sees the acquisition of 100% of Phase 1 Technology’s shares and is expected to complete in Q2 of 2024.
