Experience state-of-the-art embedded PC based vision systems

Active Silicon and ADL at Embedded World 2018

Look out for our partner, ADL Embedded Solutions, demonstrating our PC/104 boards at Embedded World later this month. Designed for a range of applications, our Phoenix PCI/104e Camera link frame grabber and FireBird Quad USB 3.0 Host Controller will be included in ADL’s embedded vision presentation on their booth in Nuremberg from 27th February. Our frame grabber comprises intelligent scatter-gather hardware which reads its instructions direct from memory without any host CPU intervention, offering faster processing for data acquired from a variety of Camera Link sources, including digital frame capture and line scan cameras. The host controller uniquely configures each pair of its four USB 3.0 ports to use a single lane Gen2 PCI Express interface, thereby eliminating inconsistencies resulting from shared bandwidth.

ADL targets applications using small form factors such as PC/104, 3.5″ boards, and custom designs, helping its customers to address challenges such as speed, size, extended temperature, power consumption, ruggedness and expandability. Combining Active Silicon’s first-class hardware with ADL’s leading design and implementation can be a winning solution for embedded vision systems. We hope you’ll be able to visit the show to find out more, and you can view our full product range here and contact us to discuss your imaging requirements.
