Improving on excellence

New sotware engineer joins Active Silicon

Active Silicon is delighted to welcome its newest software engineer to our growing team. Stuart joins us to lead the development of new embedded technology in the area of 3D visualization and hardware compression technology for HD and 4K video. This technology is primarily targeting next generation computer vision assisted surgery and will first be available in our second generation variant of our USB3 Vision Processing Unit.

A highly experienced C++ engineer, Stuart brings 20 years of technical knowledge and commercial awareness, gained while developing geoscience software in the oil and mining sector. His more recent roles have introduced him to embedded systems and robotics, which has nurtured his love for physics.

Our engineers work tirelessly to continually improve our products, and extending our range of embedded systems with high reliability and long product life is just one of the areas we’ve invested in this year. Contact us for more information on how our innovative imaging and embedded solutions along with exceptional support can enhance your machine vision applications.
