The Evaluation Kit for the Harrier 23x/52x IP Camera enables rapid evaluation of both the Harrier 23x AF-Zoom IP 4K Camera and the Harrier 52x AF-Zoom IP Camera. It contains an evaluation board, board mounting posts/screws, FFC cable, and power supply.
The Evaluation Board provides the camera with power and an IP connection to a host computer. Any ONVIF compliant software (e.g. ONVIF device manager) can be used to control the video stream/camera. Initially the camera is set to a fixed IP address to allow quick connection to the camera and video stream.
Note: The evaluation kit does not include the camera, which needs to be ordered separately.

Connectors of the Harrier 23x/52x IP Camera Evaluation Board (Issue 02)
| FFC connector (J1) | The evaluation board is fitted with a 36-way FFC cable connector (J1) to link to the matching connector on the camera (J2). A 36-way, 0.5mm pitch, opposite sided FFC cable is included in the evaluation kit. |
| Ethernet connector (J2) | The J2 socket on the evaluation board is an RJ45 socket that is used with a CAT5/6 cable to make an Ethernet connection to a host PC. |
| Serial, Audio and Alarm connector (J4) | The J4 socket on the evaluation board connects to a 16-way cable socket header that can be used to connect to audio line in/out, RS-485 serial port and Alarm inputs and outputs. |
| UART connector (J6) | The J6 socket on the evaluation board is used make a connection to the camera UART. |

| Power and serial connector (J3) | Power is supplied to the Harrier 23IP4K Camera Evaluation Board (and Harrier 23x AF-Zoom IP 4K Camera) by the J3 header connector. The J3 socket on the evaluation board connects to the multi-way cable header plug J3. On the other side of the multi-way cable there is a 5.5 x 2.1mm barrel socket connector to which a 12V (centre positive) power supply should be connected. |
| Ethernet connector (J4) | The J4 socket on the evaluation board connects to the multi-way cable header plug J4. On the other side of the multi-way cable there is an RJ45 socket that can be used with a CAT5/6 cable to make an Ethernet connection to a host PC. |
| Audio and Alarm connector (J5) | The J5 socket on the evaluation board connects to the multi-way cable header plug J5. On the other side of the multi-way cable there are screw terminals that can be used to connect to the audio, alarm and CVBS signals. |
