Embedded VISION Europe is approaching fast, and we’re preparing to head to Stuttgart to join over 150 other delegates at the EMVA’s first conference focusing solely on the embedded sector. The conference program will cover hardware and software developments as well as looking at industry standards, and of course, current hot topics such as Deep Learning and miniaturization.
Our team will be in the exhibition area to talk you through the latest developments in image acquisition and processing, and, among our other embedded products, we will be proudly showcasing our USB3 Vision Processing Unit. We will demonstrate live simultaneous acquisition and display from four USB3 Vision cameras. The unit processes the image stream in real-time and provides several data output options, including 3G-SDI.
The USB3 Vision Processing Unit has been developed for industrial and medical use. It is currently in production for use by one of our clients leading the way in computer vision assisted surgery. Internally the VPU consists of one of our COM Express carrier cards fitted with a high performance Intel i7. A PCIe/104 expansion slot allows for flexibility in system design and the acquisition of video data from a variety of sources. With all the standard PC interfaces available, this embedded system can be readily adapted for many embedded vision applications.
