Through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Beijing Lingyunguang and Singapore Lingyunguang, LUSTER has announced plans to acquire 99.95% of the equity of JAI GROUP HOLDING ApS in a transaction believed to be worth €103 million.

Furthermore, the company intends to acquire or forcibly redeem the remaining 0.05% equity held by minority shareholders in cash, resulting in LUSTER eventually holding 100%.

LUSTER focuses on innovative technologies in machine vision and fiber optics. The acquisition is expected to expand LUSTER’s optical imaging technology capabilities and accelerate the internationalization of its current business.

JAI, headquartered in Denmark, with R&D and production located in Japan, is a manufacturer of high-quality, industrial-grade cameras for various markets, including machine vision, transportation, food & beverage, aerospace, medical, and scientific sectors.

Following completion of the transaction, the equity of JAI controlled by JAI GROUP HOLDING ApS will be owned by LUSTER, although the scope of the acquisition does not include JAI Aviation ApS and JAI Inc.
