Chris Beynon, our CTO and Co-Founder, introduces our frame grabbers, block cameras and embedded systems before handing over to Craig Davis, Frame Grabber Product Manager, to talk about our FireBird range of Camera Link and CoaXPress boards, as well as our new CoaXPress over Fiber (COF) solutions. He also introduces the new Oncilla Machine Vision Computer – CoaXPress, which, with an embedded FireBird frame grabber, was used as the engine for both our four-camera demo and our COF demo.

One of our newest frame grabber on display was the FireBird CoaXPress over Fiber 4xCOF-12 frame grabber. The fiber optic cables and connectors are sourced from mainstream Ethernet technology, keeping costs to a minimum and availability plentiful. Sending data over fiber has significant benefits where long cable runs are required, or cameras are placed in harsh electrical environments. The frame grabber is also available with data forwarding functionality.

The four-camera set up demonstrated simultaneous acquisition and display from four different machine vision cameras, proving the high-speed processing and real time triggering capabilities of our FireBird Quad CoaXPress Frame Grabber.

Next, Stefano Zammattio, Harrier Product Manager, presents the helicopter demo, showing the low-latency, flexible imaging capabilities of the Harrier 10x AF-Zoom IP/HDMI Camera. He also shows our Oncilla Machine Vision Computer – Mini which provided the computing power in a palm-sized package.

Stefano also touches on the wider Harrier family of autofocus-zoom cameras and interface boards, delivering high-speed video transmission with a range of outputs, zoom options and sizes to suit a huge variety of applications.
