High-Speed Imaging Made Simple

Firebird single and dual CoaXPress frame grabbers

Our 1x and 2x FireBird CoaXPress frame grabbers offer CXP-12 speeds in a fanless, cost-effective package.
The frame grabbers offer data rates up to 12.5 Gbps per connection with a PCIe 3.0 x4 bus and support the following camera types:

1xCXP-12 board:

  • 1-connection CXP-12 camera

2xCXP-12 board:

  • One 2-connection CXP-12 camera
  • Two 1-connection CXP-12 cameras

Their low-profile format is ideal for small, embedded PC enclosures and 2U rackmount cases. The 1x and 2x boards have reduced power consumption in comparison to a 4xCXP-12 board and represent a cost-effective, high-speed imaging option.

Full GenICam support is provided and the drivers include a GenTL Producer for data streaming as well as register accesses. Additionally, FireBird frame grabbers are supported by Active Silicon’s software development kit, ActiveSDK. This is available for Windows and Linux, allowing rapid system development and integration into x86 or ARM 64-bit systems.

Our range of FireBird CoaXPress frame grabbers are optimized to acquire high-speed, high-resolution image data from industrial cameras over long, robust coaxial cables. The boards are expertly designed for machine vision applications that need, fast, highly reliable data transfer and precise triggering. Typical applications include semiconductor inspection, high-speed production lines, medical imaging, scientific imaging, and defense or aerospace vision systems.
