UKIVA are staging their valuable industry conference in Milton Keynes, UK, on 6th June this year, and Active Silicon are looking forward to being part of it.

Now in its third year, the event includes a comprehensive program of technical seminars supported by an exhibition featuring vision component manufacturers, vision component and system distributors and integrators from around the world. New to the agenda is an additional theme covering applications of vision in automation and robotics. Speakers will also discuss Deep Learning, embedded vision, 3D vision and camera, optics and illumination technologies.

We’ll show you our solutions

We invite you to visit our booth in the exhibition area, where you’ll be able to see our new Harrier Camera Interface Board and Harrier SDI adapter. The Harrier interface board is a solution for real-time HD-SDI and 3G-SDI video from Tamron, Sony and other leading autofocus-zoom cameras. In addition, the interface board can provide simultaneous analog output in Standard Definition (SD) when the camera is operating in 720p50/59.94/60 modes, along with options for supporting 4:3 and 16:9 monitors. The SDI adapter is a host-end acquisition interface which converts 3G-SDI, HD-SDI and HD-VLC™ inputs to USB 3.0 and HDMI outputs. The HD-VLC decode mode allows very long length cable applications, such as pipe inspection and remote monitoring, plus the use of multiple slip rings.

Also on display will be our USB3 Vision Processing Unit, capable of simultaneous acquisition and display from four USB3 Vision cameras. The USB3 VPU has been designed for industrial and medical use. With standard PC interfaces available, this embedded system can be readily adapted for many applications. You’ll also be able to see the latest additions to our FireBird frame grabber family, which include a low-cost single channel CoaXPress board and our quad CXP-12 board, able to transmit up to 50 Gbps over its four links.

We’ll share our thoughts

In addition, our Head of Sales and Marketing, Frans Vermeulen, will be delivering a presentation entitled “HD digital video in robotics”. Here, he will offer guidance on which technology and hardware will provide the best combination for your vision system. We’ve written more about this in our white paper on HD digital video transmission.

The show is free to attend and we look forward to seeing you there. If you can’t join us, contact us to understand how our innovative products can add speed and quality to your vision application.
