GenICam provides a unified application programming interface (API) for video acquisition, regardless of vendor, feature set or implementation details. It is an international standard, hosted by the EMVA, and specified as part of common industrial camera standards such as CoaXPress and is now also available with CameraLink.
Active Silicon’s FireBird frame grabbers are provided with GenICam drivers and ensure the fast and simple integration of CoaXPress or Camera Link compliant cameras with our frame grabbers and major image processing software libraries.
