Wilhelm Stemmer puts his creation in the hands of AL-KO and the current management team

Stemmer imaging sold to AL-KO

The founder of the pan-European imaging distributor, Stemmer Imaging, has sold his company to AL-KO AG. AL-KO is a supplier of automotive technology, gardening implements and air-conditioning technology with around 4,000 employees operating in 45 locations. AL-KO AG acquired about 75% of the company shares while the current management team of Christoph Zollitsch and Martin Kerstig now hold close to 25%. The deal was put in force on June 30th, 2017.

Stemmer reports it will form a self-contained division of the AL-KO Group leading to a major diversification alongside the existing segments of air conditioning, gardening technology and electronics. AL-KO sees Stemmer as an investment in their positioning in the Industry 4.0 environment.
