The Harrier 30x AF-Zoom USB/HDMI Camera (Sony FCB-EV9520L) offers 30x optical zoom and 12x digital zoom with simultaneous display of both HDMI and USB Video Class (UVC) v 1.1 output. The video output is SMPTE 274M and SMPTE 296M compliant and all HD modes up to 1080p60 are supported.
On this USB block camera the USB Video output is enabled when the interface board is connected to a SuperSpeed USB 3.x host. The HDMI output is enabled when an HDMI cable is connected. On power up, the camera video mode may be selected by DIP switch settings on the board. Camera video modes, along with other functions, may also be controlled by sending VISCA commands over RS-485/RS-232/TTL or over the Harrier Virtual COM port, or using UVC commands. The USB interface serves as (UVC) video output, USB based control input port and optional power supply. An example UVC video application is available with the Harrier USB SDK. Source code and Visual studio projects for C++/CLI, C#, and VB are available on request from Active Silicon.
Based on the Sony block camera FCB-EV9520L the camera guarantees high-quality imaging even in low-light conditions. It builds upon the market leading specifications of Sony’s world-renowned FCB Series features including new ones. It offers among others, Super Image Stabilizer, Spot Focus, Auto ICR, Wide Dynamic Range, which makes this camera solution suitable for a variety of demanding applications.
Active Silicon is an approved partner of Sony and the FCB-EV9520L and other Sony EV-series cameras are compatible with all Harrier camera interface boards. In addition to USB and HDMI output solutions, we also offer 3G-SDI (incl. HD-VLC) or Ethernet IP video output.

The interface board is fitted with a 30-way miniature connector to link to the matching connector on the camera. Connector type: KEL USL00-30L Mating cable: A 30-way micro coaxial cable (AS-CIB-USL30-100MM) is supplied with the camera. Lengths available: KEL USL20-30SS-010-C (100mm length) or KEL USL20-30SS-005-C (50mm length). |

Interface
USB/UVC |
The SuperSpeed USB video port (USB Type C, J6) can be used to stream/acquire image data in parallel with the HDMI display output. The video mode of the UVC stream is the same as the output of the camera. To change the mode of the UVC stream the mode of the camera should be changed using VISCA serial commands, UVC control or DIP switch settings (and power cycling). Video modes up to 1080p60 are supported. Compliant with SuperSpeed USB 3.1 (UVC). |
HDMI |
HDMI output is enabled when an HDMI cable is plugged in. The video mode of the HDMI output is the same as the output of the camera. To change the mode of the HDMI output the mode of the camera should be changed using VISCA serial commands or DIP switch settings (and power cycling). Video modes up to 1080p60 are supported.
