The Harrier 55x AF-Zoom HD-SDI Camera is a 5MP high resolution camera with a powerful 55x optical hybrid zoom. The camera offers Full HD real-time HD-SDI video output at 1920 x 1080p (30 fps). It also provides simultaneous analog output in Standard Definition (SD) video, and supports HD-VLC™ output mode for long cable length applications.
This autofocus-zoom block camera can be controlled using VISCA protocol serial communications over TTL, RS-232 and RS-485, or using Pelco – D/P control protocol. DIP switch settings control the selection of serial communication protocol, HD-VLC output and camera video output mode on power-up.
Special features of this autofocus-zoom block camera include Digital Image Stabilization, Digital Noise Reduction (2D+3D), Privacy Mask Function, High Light Compensation, Intelligent Motion Detection, Defog Function and Day & Night mode (Infrared Cut filter Removal, ICR).
If you are interested in long-reach HD digital video transmission, HD Visually Lossless Compression (HD-VLC) is a technique for compressing HD image data into a lower data rate SDI stream. This mode can be selected via the DIP switch or via serial commands. HD-VLC technology allows for much greater cable length (three to four times the distance), plus a greater ability to pass through multiple slip rings. A HD-VLC decoder is needed at the other end of the cable to convert back to HD-SDI and other formats (see Active Silicon’s “BlueBird SDI Adapter”). Find more information in our white paper “High-Definition Long-Reach Video Transmission” and watch this video.
Active Silicon also offers Harrier 55x AF-Zoom camera solutions with simultaneous USB/HDMI, HDMI or Ethernet H.264 IP video output. For more information contact our team.
